December: DECEMBER RED: PINOT/SHIRAZ RIVERLAND from AUSTRALIA.

Pinot Noir brings the elegance. Shiraz brings the power! Expect aromas of mixed berries, soft spice and cherry from the Pinot leading to bolder flavours of dark plum, and hints of pepper from the fuller bodied Shiraz. Silky tannins finish off this unique rich red.
BODY: Medium-Full | OAK: Medium | SWEETNESS: Dry | 13.5%
It was once rare to see these two famous grapes blended together but Australia is changing that. The hot, dry climate is ideal for producing richly textured Shiraz. Cool nights help Pinot retain acidity. This makes it a better blending partner than in any other region.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Pork tenderloin, sautéed mushrooms, also great with burgers and grilled sausages.

January: BLANC DE NOIR from LANGUEDOC, FRANCE

A unique white wine made from black Grenache grapes with minimal skin contact during pressing. Blanc de Noir, meaning ‘white from black’, has notes of white peach, and pink grapefruit flavours with subtle spice. Soft echoes of red apple and strawberry, and crisp acidity finish out this showpiece.
BODY: Medium | OAK: None | SWEETNESS: Dry | ABV: 12.5%
Languedoc is a coastal region in France, close to the Spanish border, where cooling sea breezes moderate the hot, sunny Mediterranean climate yielding concentrated fruit that is perfect for Blanc de Noir. If you would prefer ‘off-dry’, this would also be the perfect wine to add a touch of wine sweetener. (about ½ cup).
FOOD PAIRINGS: Weather it be chicken, pork, or a festive turkey dinner, this unique white is also perfect all on its own.

February: MALBEC/CABERNET from MENDOZA, ARGENTINA

Richness of Malbec and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of violet, dark fruit, and spice lead to a palate of plum, blackberry, and gentle peppercorn. Well-integrated tannins and fresh acidity, followed by a smooth finish lingering with dark fruit and warmth
BODY: Full | OAK: Med-Heavy | SWEETNESS: Dry | ABV: 14%
Mendoza’s high altitude vineyards provide intense sun for will ripened grapes, while cool mountain nights preserve acidity. Dry, rocky soils stress the vines, yielding smaller, concentrated grapes ideal for this wine.
FOOD PAIRINGS: Great with tomato based pastas, pizzas as well barbequed steaks and ribs!

March: PINOT GRIS VERDELHO from RIVERLAND, AUSTRALIA

BODY: Medium | OAK: None | SWEETNESS: Dry | ABV: 13%
Verdelho thrives in Riverland’s warm Mediterranean climate. The conditions produce fully ripened grapes, yielding fresh, fruit-driven wines.
