This Australian blend, also know as GSM, has become very popular commercially. A classic blend of three grapes that originated in the South of France where Côtes du Rhone and Chateauneuf du Pape concentrate on these varieties. The small, thick skinned berries are deep blue-black in colour, high in extract, flavour, aroma, and tannin.
Together Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvèdre produces a blend of length, power, and fruit and above all—a balanced, intense flavour that retains a silky, delicate character.
