Selection Argentine Malbec is deep in color and intense fruity flavors with a velvety texture has notes of ripe red and black berries, black cherry and a hint of spice. Subdued acidity means it is smooth on the palate. The finish is dry and lingers due to the presence of some nice soft tannins.
While the historic birthplace of Malbec is France, it is in Argentina where the grape receives most of its notoriety. The grape clusters of Argentine Malbec are different from its French relatives; they have smaller berries in tighter, smaller clusters. Because of this higher skin to pulp ratio, you can expect a little more structure and tannin than when grown elsewhere.
